A Journey of Obedience

Moses*, a disciple from a small village in eastern Cameroon, sensed the Holy Spirit prompting him to visit his uncle 35 kilometers away in another town. His uncle had heard about Moses’ newfound faith and was eager to hear more, often listening to Bible stories over the phone.

When Moses arrived, he was warmly received. His uncle gathered his three wives and their children to hear Moses’ testimony, a story of transformation that only God could write.

A Family Transformed

Moses shared openly about how following Jesus had changed his life. Once struggling with infertility, he and his wife had now been blessed with twins. He spoke of learning to listen to God’s voice and being guided daily by the Holy Spirit. His family knew the pain of his past, so his story carried undeniable power.

His uncle was deeply moved and invited Moses to stay longer. During his visit, they began a Discovery Bible Study (DBS) together, one that quickly grew as 17 people from the village joined in.

Multiplication Begins

What began as a family gathering has now multiplied. Today, there are four Discovery Bible Study groups in the area with 12 baptized disciples, all baptized by Moses himself. None have faced persecution, and all are growing in faith and boldness.

When our Cameroon leader visited, he was amazed to see how God was moving, using ordinary people like Moses to ignite transformation and trust within their families and communities.

This story reminds us that the gospel often advances not through grand platforms, but through ordinary obedience and faithful relationships.
